When installing a new VMware environment everything is running with trial keys to make it run smoothly. But when you are at the moment of entering the official keys you receive an error notification.

The default download of vSphere hasn’t got vendor specific management drivers included and without these drivers you won’t be able to check the health of your Array-Controller or discs. What if a problem occurs? Well you can install the HP management drivers by installing the offline bundle.

When you log on to your vCenter server and you see a long list of queued of “Check new notifications” tasks with the status of queued you will probably wonder how do does this happen and what to do?

In the modern server world we don’t always have a cd/dvd drive in the server, but we always have USB. But how do we get the downloaded vSphere 5 .iso file onto a USB media and make it bootable?

Got this nice notification trying to install the vSphere Client 4.1 on Server 2008 R2. To fix this, you have to delete the following Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\VMware, Inc. And press retry. The Sphere Client 4.1 setup will finish without errors. ICT-Freak.nl  pointed me in the right direction !

Get all the info you need by installing the HP Management drivers for your vSphere server. If you’re installing from the .iso from VMware you probably don’t have the HP drivers integrated into it, but you would like to monitor your Array Controller and discs.
